What Should be done with the Buildings?

The Rutherford Ward
Constructed in the early 1940s, Rutherford Ward is a solid building with an eight bed dormitory, ablution block and 21 single bedrooms in each wing, Administrative offices, kitchen, and group function rooms lie between and behind the wings.
We have no influence on what happens to it.

Chisholm Ward
This beautiful building with its welcoming aspect was made in 1926 especially for female patients. Two wings, housing 56 patients in single and dormitory accommodation have a large community lounge joining them. There is a small kitchen. Chisholm is protected by the Historic Places Trust.

Soldiers Block
This building is the only one of its kind left in New Zealand. It was constructed in 1916 and has two large octagonal wings, formerly wards, joined by a large community room and several small offices /bedrooms. It is protected by the Historic Places Trust
